Our transportation department is located at 2702 Amber trail, just behind Sierra Ridge Middle School and Emigrant Trail Elementary School. We have 11 buses and transport over 700 children per school day. Our safety record is excellent, our drivers among the best. Our busses log over 110,500 miles per year. Transportation fee information may be obtained from the district office,530.644.5416, or the transportation department, 530.644.3750. We are always looking for good bus driver candidates. regarding any aspect of home-to-school transportation, bus routes, schedule
times, or employment opportunities, should be directed to our transportation
supervisor, Stacy Barraque, at the above telephone number.
Important Notice Regarding Snow, Ice and Power Outages:
"On days when the depth of overnight snow, power outages, or extreme ice conditions may necessitate closing school for the entire day, we will activate our Connect-Ed telephone message system to attempt to get this information to you. You may also tune in to Radio Station KAHI (950 AM) or KSTE (650 AM) or Radio Station KYMX (96.1 FM) or KCCL (101.9 FM) or Television Station KCRA, Channel 3 or Television Station KXTV, Channel 10 or Television Station KOVR, Channel 13 or Television Station KMAX, Channel 31 beginning at 6:00 a.m. for periodic announcements regarding schools closing. If you are unable to tune in these stations, you are welcome to call the Transportation Department after 5:30 a.m. - 644-3750 - to hear an announcement regarding school closure. After 6:15 a.m., you may also call Pinewood School - 644-2384, Sierra Ridge School - 644-2031, or the District Office - 644-5416. In addition, school closure information will be posted on the El Dorado Guide Support Website at www.eldoradoguide.com. "
Important notice regarding the bus schedule on minimum days: School ends two hours earlier on our minimum days. The afternoon bus routes will run two hours earlier on the minimum days as a result.
