The first teacher, Mrs. Irma Warren, held temporary classes in a cabin at the old resort at Eagle Rock. A short time later, a classroom building was donated by Harvey West. The building, a former "line shack", having been transformed into a classroom for the Sacramento Box Company employees' children at China Flat, was transported to Silver Fork on a log truck. Two outhouses were added and classes were moved to the new site. This building was later relocated onto the present school property. Bathrooms, a storage room and a porch were added. The present school building was approved by the Office of the State Architect in June, 1954. The building was completed in 1955. Our school currently houses 17 students in grades K through 8. We have one full time teacher, one secretary/aide, one bus driver/aide, one part-time math specialist, one custodian, and one technology support person. Our Staff
