Pinewood School is located at 6181 Pine Street. We were awarded California Distinguished School status in 2008. Pinewood School has also been designated a California Business for Education Excellence/Just for the Kids-California Honor Roll School. Our Kindergarten, First, Second, Third and Fourth grades are housed here.  Kindergarten, First, Second and Third grade classes at this school have a maximum twenty students per class.

 
Kindergarten at Pinewood is all day. Our Kindergarten day begins and ends at the same time as the First, Second, Third and Fourth grades.

Kindergarten, First, Second, Third, and Fourth grade classes begin at 9:00 am and continue to 3:15. The First, Second, Third, and Fourth grades have staggered recesses and lunch periods. Kindergarten lunch and recesses are separate from the other grades. Direct instruction in learning to read and in understanding mathematics are areas of primary focus of the First, Second, Third and Fourth grades.
