The
Pollock Pines
School District offers a home school option for students in our district.
Students from other districts may apply but will need an inter-district
transfer signed by our district and the releasing district.
Our home school is offered to students and families for a variety of reasons.
Home study provides an alternative to regular classroom instruction for
those families who have the time, interest, desire and need to participate
in a home school option.
Students who desire an opportunity to pursue special or unique educational
interests on an individual basis; who want to participate in an in-depth
program due to exceptional academic and/or creative talents; who need
an alternative due to difficulties experienced in regular on-site classroom
programs or who have an opportunity to participate in planned educational
experiences during extended family travel may benefit from our Home School
program.
In addition to the educational plan developed for each home school student,
under guidance of the supervising teacher, the following services and
opportunities are available:
Library program, technology lab, book fairs, speech and language screening,
dental assessment, state testing, school dances, after school sports,
field trips, school interest clubs, music program, community events, fine
arts program and computer labs.
